I gotta say that Pixie is really starting to grow on me, which is a good thing because Wolverine only appears in two pages of this issue…

From Marvel: “It’s a new age for the X-Men. Cyclops and company have declared it a time to be heroes. Wherever a citizen is in need, there’s an X-Man on the job. But strange rumors have come to the attention of the X-Men, and Storm and her team are off to New York City to investigate. What do they find in the dank sewers beneath Manhattan? Only New York’s favorite wall-crawler has the answers.”

A very cool exchange between Scott and Logan, and though I love the artwork by Chris Bachalo, what Wolverine is wearing in the sewers is beyond me…

  1. I have to agree with DiG on Wolverine’s strange attire he wears while wondering the sewers. To me it looks like it is simply to illuminate the dark corridors of the sewer. I’m sorry but it just strikes me as plain silly, like something you would see a super hero wearing in the early nineties.

The way Victor Gischler writes his X-Men book reminds me or the early nineties X-Men cartoon episodes. (Except without all the kiddie censorship of Wolverine using his claws on bad guys.) Gischler strikes me of a fan of the the nineties Wolverine, especially since he brought back Jubilee into the mix. I was wondering of anyone else got this feeling.

It’s not just Jubilee coming back into Wolverine’s life, it’s the way Wolverine talks and uses the word “Scrapping”. A fighting word I haven’t heard Wolverine say in a long time. He must of did his Chris Claremont reading before writing these stories. So far I like them because they are a very light read, especially compared to the Uncanny X-Men book which is all over the place right now.
